Jill Hughes Piano
About
Hello! I'm Jill, a dedicated pianist, composer, and arranger with a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Brigham Young University. My musical journey has been centered around the art of piano, from performing and arranging popular tunes for solo piano to composing original music. I find immense joy in playing at weddings and parties and sharing my love for music.
I have performed with Jenny Oaks Baker, The Brigham Young University Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras, was a faculty member of the Utah State University Youth Conservatory, was the pianist for the Arcadia High School Show Choir, Concert Choir, and Women's Chorus, and for several years I played the piano in Leaping Lulu, a Celtic Band that performed with Irish Dancers in fairs and concerts. I studied piano under the direction of Jeffrey Shumway, Irene Peery-Fox, Earle Voorhies, and Betty Beecher. I performed in Master Classes with Gary Amano and Del Parkinson.
I am a founding member of the Collaborative Pianists Guild of Utah which raises awareness and promotes excellence in the field of collaborative piano. I also have the privilege of teaching piano lessons, passing on my love for music, and helping others discover their musical passions.
Thank you for your time spent here. I look forward to meeting you.
